My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Chester. I showed up very suddenly with my fosters’ feral kitties one day. I was very scared and thin at first, but when I realized they were feeding me and letting me stay on the safe and dry porch, I warmed up very quickly. I started crying for petting and attention every night and even tried to follow my fosters inside. When my best outdoor friend went missing one day and didn’t come back, they decided to bring me inside and find me a new home.

I was neutered, got all of my vaccines, and tested negative for FELV-FIV. The vet thinks I’m probably almost two years old. I wasn’t scared of new people at all, so the vet thinks I was most likely dumped outside. She also said I’m pretty unique looking! I have tabby stripes on my head and tail, but the rest of me is just orange like my eyes.

My favorite things in the whole world are snuggles and cuddles and petting. I love mushing my face onto your hands to get you to pet me. When it’s time for dinner, I’m not even interested in my food until I’ve gotten a change to love on my foster parents. I haven’t figured out how to play real well yet – I don’t know what to do with a crinkle ball or a catnip toy, but I do like chasing the laser pointer around. I would much rather cuddle than play, though, and I will sit in your lap or lay on your chest and nuzzle you.

I’m interested in meeting my foster parents’ kitties as well, but one of them is mean to me, so I have my own room for now. I did make good friends with the outdoor kitty, though, so I probably wouldn’t mind having another kitty to keep me company – as long as I get all the petting and cuddles I could want from my new humans!

My fosters just can’t understand how such a snuggly little guy like me ended up outside by myself, but it’s ok because I know I will find a new home with humans who will love me very much!
