Facts about Tabitha

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 1428
  • Hair: Short

This pretty little lady, born into a litter of eight...yes, EIGHT!...is a real sweetheart. Tabitha is in foster care with her brother Darryn. She plays and prances and puts on airs...well, not really airs, though she is an adorable little princess with a touch of the tomboy. No shrinking violet, she will put brother Darryn in his place if he gets too rambunctious, or interrupts her beauty sleep. Tabitha is great with her fosterer's three young daughters, and also enjoys entertaining herself with little toys and chasing the flying wand toys you offer. She may take a few moments to warm to a new person, but just so she can do a quick, mental Kittynet search to see if yours would be the perfect forever home for her...and brother Darryn, of course. Tabi is not going anywhere unless he is welcome there, too.

The kittens of this B-I-G litter are offered for adoption in pairs, and Tabitha definitely wants to move to her forever home with brother Darryn. The kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested, and FVRCP vaccinated, and were flea- and worm-treated upon arrival.

Please note:

  • Tabitha should be adopted with a littermate

About Community Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Community Cat Rescue was formed to improve the lives of homeless cats through adoption, promotion of spaying/neutering, TNR and colony management and educational outreach to the public. We are a group of experienced rescue and TNR volunteers who have developed a network of foster homes for rescued street cats, and a regular program of outreach for adoption and education at local farmers markets, public events and at pet stores and shopping areas. We host a minimum of 3 outreach events per month, and often as many as 6 events. In addition to adopting out cats as family pets, we also have an active TNR program, including relocation of feral cats as "working cats" to appropriate homes if they are not safe in their original territory.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Saturdays, 8:00 AM to Noon, at the Downtown Palo Alto Farmers Market on Gilman Street (see website for dates)

Our Adoption Process...

Potential Adopters fill out an adoption profile and application to help ensure that the cat or kittens they are applying for is/are a good match for their household. This is followed by an interview (phone or in person). All of our cats are in foster homes, so we know their personalities very well and can help you make a great match for everyone in your home.

If there are other pets in the household we provide assistance in introducing the new cat(s). We have lots of experience with multiple cat households, and we will work with you to make sure that everyone gets along and is happy. Cats or kittens can be returned to us within two weeks if they do not fit into your family or household.

Our contract specifically prohibits declawing and requires that if the new owner find that scratching is a problem, they return the cat to us rather than declaw.

Our adoption fees are $100 for a kitten (or $175 for two kittens)and $50 for adult cats (over 12 months old), all of whom are spay/neutered, micro-chipped, immunized, treated for fleas and worms and given any required veterinary treatment before adoption. The value of these treatments is several times the adoption fee!
