Sadie's Story...
Introducing a very special, special needs dog. Sadie is a 4 year old Entlebucher Mountain Dog who was recently surrendered to our Rescue. Sadie is beautiful, friendly, playful, ... and blind. Foster mom Hilary says, "Sadie is a sweet girl who loves people, attention, playing fetch and is eager to learn and to please. Sadie is very intelligent and learns commands quickly. She's a cuddle bug who loves belly rubs. She is excellent with children, good with cats, but a bit nervous around barking dogs. Sadie loves to go for car rides and is an excellent companion in the car and in general. She is house trained. She'd prefer not to be in a crate. Sadie is blind and because of that will do best in a home where the layout and furniture stays the same; being full of life & gusto, she sometimes forgets she's blind, running headlong into things & will need some extra help with navigating her environment."

If you want to apply for Sadie, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Meridian Entlebucher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Entlebucher for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Entlebucher dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Entlebucher breeders who help with Entlebucher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
