Portia's Story...
M16-240 Hello, everyone! I’m Portia, and I have two brothers, Dude and Linus, who look pretty much like me. I also have a tabby sister named Olga. We were our mom’s last litter, since she just got fixed. She always had beautiful healthy kids, so choosing one of us gets you a great kitty! She was also good about leaving us where we could be found and adopted. I’m a yellow tabby with bright gold tabby jewelry around my eyes and on my cheeks, and a short easy care coat. I’m about 14 weeks old, spayed, current on all my shots and negative for FIV/FELV. I’ve been living with humans and other cats and am a well adjusted, well mannered lady! I love laps, playing, and exploring. I need an INSIDE ONLY Forever Home with people who have time to teach me the ropes. I don’t need very small or unsupervised children who don’t know about cats, and if you have dogs, they should be friendly and we should get acquainted carefully. With those conditions met, I think we’d do great together, so let’s talk about it. Maybe I’m the one you’ve been waiting for!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Portia, a Buhl Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Buhl, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Buhl.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buhl already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buhl breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buhl paves the way for another one to be saved.
