Who doesn't love a big goofy lab? Max is a young boy around a year old who was surrendered to us because he was not fitting into his home with a large family. Max has been wonderful with us, we have noticed that he can be a bit funny at first with hands to his face at first meet. But let him warm up to you and he is putty in your hands. Max may still be young but don't let that size fool you. He weighs in at 90 pounds. He is current on all his vaccines, rabies, heartworm negative and is neutered. Ready to meet Max and make him apart of your family? Give us a call 757-365-6318 or email animalservices@isleofwightus.net

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and other companion animals are available at the Isle of Wight County Animal Shelter. As of March 1, 2013 we now have an adoption fee!

Dogs & Puppies are $90, Cats & Kittens are $75 and all other companion animals are $25 unless stated differently.

Those fees include:

• Spay/Neuter

• Vaccinations & deworming (including Rabies shot)

• and Heartworm testing for dogs

The cost for this medical care at local veterinary offices would easily exceed $200.00.

An application must be filled out and approved before adopting one of our pets.
