I was rescued after the Blue Cut fire. I was hiding under an old bus in the burn area, and my paws were severely burned. I spent four days in the hospital, and since that time I've been going through the long process of healing. I am somewhat of a shy girl, but I am loving.
I will need a special home, and will need to be indoors most of the time. While my paws have been healing well, they will always be sensitive to not only heat, but cold, so I can't be left outdoors for hours, my paws are sensitive. I like affection, but also need time just to do my own thing...which is pretty much snoozing. I love to go outside on a leash to go potty. I have absolutely NO reaction to cats (unless I think they're going to eat my food, and then I give a warning growl.) I like to eat in my crate.
My crate is my "safe place" .and I often snooze in there with the door open. I'm a very quiet dog, I don't often bark. I am a very calm dog that would be best with older children and adults in a quiet home. I still become afraid when introduced to something new I also like to snuggle up on the couch. .
I have been through a lot in my life...and I want to find the family that is perfect for me. I need a securely fenced yard...and might do well with a doggy door. I have a great appetite and I eat grain free food, food with grain upsets my tummy.
My blood work was normal when I was hospitalized for my burns. I'm just a quiet little kid that needs a structured environment, with someone who will spend the time with me that I need and deserve and can also respect my need to be left alone. I have the most adorable, short Corgi legs!
