He was starved so he is skin & bones (he was only 3-4 lbs when we got him but should be 8-10 lbs). He is now resting at his wonderful foster home and getting lots of TLC. Ezekiel is timid and nervous of men right now. He is gentle friendly with female foster homes but fearful of husband and large dog. Ezekiel needs time to get healthy learn that he is safe and feel loved. House-training is in process and he is making progress. 2/4/17: Update from foster home: Zeke has come along way. 3 months ago he was so starved you could feel his ribs and hip bones. He was very fearful of people would bark at them. No big dogs for Zeke (little dog syndrome). Zeke is now used to people coming in and out of the house not so fearful of foster home's husband anymore will climb up and give him a kiss. It's taken him a long time to trust but with his abusive last home that is what is expected with these dogs. Loves his little squeaky toys (doesn't squeak them) just loves to carry around the house and when done carries them inside his kennel. Kind of a little toy hoarder. He also loves playing with his foster home's little dog. Very adorable personality. Zeke would be great in a home as an only dog or with another small companion. He will bond to the female quicker and may take time to warm up to a male in the home. Ezekiel needs to learn that he is safe and feels loved. He will need an experienced adult home. No kids.
