Henley's Story...
Though she be but little, our Henley is fierce. Attacked by her mom at only 4 weeks old, she was surrendered to a high kill shelter with multiple puncture wounds, severe swelling of her face and what we anticipated being a broken eye socket and vision loss. In typical Pittie fashion, though Henley was in obvious pain, her spirit was anything but broken. Fast forward a few weeks and Henley is now 12 weeks old, about 20 pounds and, thanks to her amazing foster homes and vet, has healed up beautifully. Our fierce little pup, loves to play with people, other dogs, tennis balls, toys, you name it! She also enjoys a good cuddle and cozying up to her (larger than her!) teddy bear. Henley is working on her housebreaking and crate training, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Henley, please complete an adoption application from our website www.omdrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henley, a Bristol Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bristol, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bristol.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bristol already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bristol breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bristol paves the way for another one to be saved.
