Even though Sadie's an older dog, she's very playful!  She 's so happy to see my 2 Shih Tzus in the morning that she starts  jumping around happily and gets down on the floor trying to get them to play with her. She loves going out through the doggie door to sun herself out in the back yard.  She's very obedient and will sit when told to sit and will give you her paw if you ask for is.  She will catch  a treat in mid air. Loves going on walks and hikes. She likes to eat her meals at 8:30 in the morning and 4:30 in the afternoon and goes to bed at 8:30 pm and will remind me  if I forget to feed her by coming over to me and giving me her paw to remind you. Sadie doesn't like thunder storms at all, but a nice warm shirt or thunder shirt helps relieve her anxiety. She gets along well with other dogs. She smiles a lot. Loves to be brushed and comes over to be petted and loved once or twice a day. She's a pleasure to have around, and we hope we can find a loving home for her.   Please contact the foster mom today at  kchinnici47@gmail.com or 828-450-7621 to learn more about sweet Sadie!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
