Handsome Big, Red Tabby/Tiger DSH Senior Male (& his bonded DSH Tiger brother Tiger)

Sunshine (Senior) is a very handsome, big 15 year old Red Tabby/Tiger neutered male. He is a little bit shy off the bat, but we believe that is because he is partially blind (which is why he is listed as Special Needs).  He warms up quickly with pets and is very sweet and enjoys attention.  He was rescued from another shelter, but we know that he was relinquished by a terminally ill senior owner who had him since he was a 6 week old ball of sunshine.  Also, when his owner could no longer care for them,  he relinquished him along with his life-long bonded brother, Tiger, an 11 year old DSH Red Tabby/Tiger neutered male.  They have spent most of their lives together and need to be adopted together.   We think he'd be O.K. with children who are calm, not too loud or overactive, and would know to be kind and gentle with him and give him space when he needs it.   We also don't know how he is with dogs, but perhaps a calm, cat-friendly dog who would not bother him might be O.K.  Come meet this handsome and sweet older gentleman and his 'brother' to see if you can give them a safe, caring and lasting home in their golden years.

About Angels With Paws

About Our Shelter...

We believe ALL animals have the right to life.
Angels with Paws 501c3 charity runs a mostly cage-free, Limited Intake Rescue Shelter that since opening in 2004 has provided over 9,500 homeless, unwanted, abused, neglected and abandoned cats, kittens (and some dogs through foster care) with rescue, Veterinary and other care, rehab and a place to live until they are adopted. Many of them are injured, ill, disabled, and older and would be turned away or put down by other shelters. For these animals Angels with Paws is their last hope. This is amazing work considering we operate out of a converted Fast Food building, have very limited resources, few volunteers, no promotion, and no on-site Veterinarian. We educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and offer advice in caring for pets with the hope that they can be kept in their own homes instead of being relinquished to a shelter, the need to Spay/Neuter and the cruelty of declawing.

Angels with Paws does not receive any Government, Corporate or any regular funding. We do not have an on-site Veterinarian, and have to pay for our Veterinary Care and Supplies. Nearly all of our funding comes from private donations.

Our dream is to see the day when no adoptable animal will be euthanized.
