My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elaine! Elaine is a 6 year old Golden Retriever and she weighs a whopping 122 lbs.! Yes, Elaine knows she is overweight but she still loves to run and play! Elaine came to us recently after being abandoned on the side of the road with a bag of dog food. She is the most loving golden and so incredibly sweet with every person she encounters. Elaine may be a big lady but she LOVES her toys and likes to hop around, playing with them. Elaine obviously loves food and can't get enough treats but she's on a diet for now! Elaine is on a weight management food in order to lose weight since it's apparent that her last home overfed her. Elaine is 100% house trained and will hold it until she's taken outside to use the bathroom. She's crate trained as well. Elaine gets along great with other dogs, is fine with cats, and great with children! Elaine has stolen everyone's hearts since coming to us! You just can't be in a bad mood around this girl - her happy personality is contagious! Please consider welcoming sweet Elaine into your home so she can achieve her weight loss goals with her forever family!

***Elaine is currently in CARENCRO, LA but is able to be transported to COLORADO. We transport our adopted dogs to Colorado once a month. Elaine's adoption fee is $400, which includes transport. All Acadiana Animal Aid dogs are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, on heart worm, flea, and tick preventative, and microchipped.***
