Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a beautiful “tuxedo” cat with her silky black fur, white chest and white paws! She really enjoys being held by people! She's smart and adventurous: she was the first kitten to use her litter box when it was introduced (out of all five kittens), the first to eat food from a dish, and the first to lap milk from a bowl. When she and her siblings are in a new environment, she is ALWAYS the first to bravely stick her nose out and explore! She is GREAT with kids - very patient with them- and is used to (nice) dogs. For anyone thinking of adopting two cats, she is BEST buddies with her brother, Coco, who is also available for adoption. She is a wonderful kitten and whatever family adopts her will be very lucky!

Rosie and Coco are a bonded pair. They would like them adopted together. Adopting kittens in pairs is the best, Feral Fixers has a discounted adoption fee $130 per pair.

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair. Brief screening questionaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
