We were happy to be able to get him out of this situation and bring him here with us. Neutered, vaccines updated, microchipped, heartworm tested. ADOPTION FEE IS $200.00 - This helps cover vet costs. --- TO BE CONSIDERED TO ADOPT A DOG FROM ALMOST HOME RESCUE YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION. PLEASE READ!
1. Jack Russell Terriers need homes with a secure fence. Underground fencing is NOT safe for a Jack Russell.
2. Jack Russell terriers are bred to be hunting dogs and are not suited to apartment or condo life. The hunting instincts and prey drive cannot be trained out of these terriers and they will stay active in this way all their lives.
3. We do not adopt Jack Russell Terriers to families withe small children (under 6) as terriers are not patient with the antics of a small toddler.
4. Jack Russell Terriers can not safely coexist in a home with cats, birds, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, etc, as terriers were bred to hunt and can kill small animals. They are hunters and they never give up.
5. Please keep an open mind and consider your lifestyle both today and 10 years from now before you apply for a dog that may not be a good fit for the long run.

About Almost Home Dog Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Almost Home Dog Rescue, Inc. is a 501 c3, non profit organization that was formed to help dogs that have been thrown away. We find them in kill shelters, puppy mills, and even on the side of the road, left to die because no one wants them. We can no longer turn our backs on the mammoth problem of TOO MANY DOGS AND NOT ENOUGH HOMES.
OUR LIVES BEGIN TO END THE DAY WE BECOME SILENT ABOUT THE THINGS THAT MATTER.

Our Adoption Process...

This is the process to adopt a pet from Almost Home Rescue:
1. Fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION to submit all the info we need to approve you for adopting one of our pets.
2. Someone will call or contact you via email to set up a home visit.
3. A volunteer will come to your home, at your convenience, to verify the safety of your fence, and whether or not it is the correct home for a terrier.
4. After approval we will set a time to meet and if there is a match between the dog and the adopter, the adoption contract will be signed and the fee paid to the rescue to help pay the vet bills.
