Facts about Mandy Lynn SC

  • Breed: Boston Terrier/Basset Hound Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10784541

Mandy Lynn is  an odd combination of Boston terrier and Bassett hound, so she has very short, comical legs.  She is also just a puppy--one yer old, so she will need some training. She weighs about 34 lb., but should not get any bigger.

Mandy Lynn is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccines and microchipped. She is not overly active, but she is a young girl and likes to run around in the yard.

Mandy Lynn is a people-lover and does well with kids. She is an extremely pleasant dog who doesn't mind sitting in your lap or playing with a stuffed toy in the floor. She is a calm passenger in the car and will curl up and sleep by herself or with her head in your lap. She takes treats gently. She does well with other dogs, but she sees cats as prey. She would be fine as an only pet also.

To find out more about Mandy Lynn, call her buddy, Kelli, at 803-646-2593. Mandy is in Aiken, SC. Ask us about transportation options for adopters up north.

The adoption fee will be $175.00.

Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.

The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website

Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.

We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.

Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

About Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee

About Our Rescue Group...

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers of our own for many years, we are familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fees generally range from $400 for pups and up, to usually four years, $275 for adults, usually $200 when we have a mixed breed Boston.

The fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying when required, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "slow kill", a monthly prevention program for heartworms, treatment for other parasites, any other vet visits or urgent medical attention required, and supplies to foster homes. It is our expectation & requirement that these same preventative routine medications be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
