Meet Sweet Nelly!
Nelly is a 12 month old tortie point Ragdoll mix with the most gorgeous eyes (especially in person). She is so sweet and affectionate that it was difficult to get far enough away from her loving self to get pictures. She isn't a lap cat but she loves to get you to rub her and to rub on you in return. She is also a true floppy cat and has the stereotypical ragdoll trait that she goes limp when held. Such a gentle and sweet kitty!
She is very quick to warm up but is content to stay in familiar places. She might do better in a quiet home without too much commotion. She is good with kids and does well with cat-savvy dogs. Nelly does fall under our young cat/kitten policy, but she seems intimidated by other cats. We are willing to make her an exception to our kitten policy in her case or send her to a home with a very laid back kitty that won't bully her into hiding. She is such a sweetheart and will give you so much love but she may need a little bit of extra time to get used to your home. Trust me. She is well worth your patience. Her foster's are so in love you better hurry and snatch her up before they decide to keep her for good.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
KITTEN POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
