Meet LOLA! *courtesy post-contact Stephen Beal via email at swb@bealfamily.net for adoption info!

Lola is a five year old, 14 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russel mix.

(((singing)))   Her name is Lola, she was a rescue, but that was several years ago before she found a loving home….   (my apologies to Barry Manilow)   Lola came to live with me when she was 3 years old.   At that time she was pretty tenuous and nervous.   It really took about a year for her to figure out how to be secure enough to act like a dog.   Her best fur buddy (Jackson) came to live with me at the end of that first year and taught her how to play tug-of-war and fetch.

Lola likes to cuddle but is not fond of sitting on your lap.   Her favorite is to curl up right beside you, soaking up the warmth of your leg and getting scratched between the ears.   Lola loves to walk and is very good at maintaining the heel position on the left side.   She is good with other dogs and with children (although when she’s had enough kidlet attention she will go upstairs and fall asleep in her kennel).   For some reason Lola thinks that tissue (toilet or facial) is a good snack but she also enjoys sugar snap peas and carrots.   Lola is micro-chipped.

Please contact Stephen Beal via email at swb@bealfamily.net to meet LOLA!

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
