My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammi is a very happy and playful "slightly" older girl. We estimate her age to be 8-10 years. She loves to be outside in the yard and really enjoys the youngsters in her foster home. Her best friend is Runner, who is only about 18 months old! Sammy plays with Runner like she is a puppy. Our vet has taken x-rays and has seen some arthritis but she is on very effective pain meds and she is not slowing down. Although she is a fluffy girl, she doesn't shed much for a long-coated dog. She loves to be petted and cuddled and is great with kids.

Sammy does great with other dogs although she can be a little bossy so best in a home with a dog her size who lets her get away with being the boss. Her big, confident attitude can be overwhelming to small dogs so we want to place her in a home as an only dog or with a dog close to her size. She has met one of the resident cats in her foster home and did fine BUT she has been known to chase small, furry things so we think it better if she goes to a home without cats.

Sammi is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTER CARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.

We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
