Facts about Runner!

Runner is getting himself ready to be someone's beloved companion. When he first arrived at his most recent foster home, he was timid and easily frightened by the strangeness of it all. But he has settled in so quickly and is such a sweetheart! He is one of those dogs who rewards gentleness, kindness, understanding, and calmness with love and loyalty and sweetness. He is good with kind, gentle, understanding kids who take it easy with him.

We think Runner is about 18-24 months old. He is very lean, only about 30 lbs even though he is long legged and lanky. We think he could do with just a couple more pounds on his frame so we are trying to put a little bit of weight on him but he is likely to stay lean as he is does love to run & play chase. His best friend in his foster home is Sammi, an almost-senior Samoyed mix who thinks he is THE BEST.

We agree and are really enjoying bringing Runner out of his shell. He likes his crate, where he eats and sleeps happily. He seems to really like his "den." He also loves being out in the yard, running around and jumping over the short fences. He is very athletic so will need a secure yard to contain him and lots of activity and exercise. He is not a hyper dog, however, and easily settles into contentment, whether in his crate or outdoors.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTER CARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.

We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
