*** ADOPTION PENDING ***

Sex:  Female

Age:  3 years

Good with dogs: I need to be in a home without other dogs. I am not very comfortable around them, so I can be dog aggressive. I’m working on it! But it will take time and patience.

Good with cats:  I do not belong with cats.

Good with kids: Yes, I love kids! I do very well with small children, but I am bigger and don’t always understand my size.

Weight:  65 lbs

Name/Nicknames:  Blueberry

Hobbies: Fetching, swimming, napping, cuddling, and I really love trying to help with everything, even though I’m not sure how to.

Tricks/Commands:  I know “sit” and “lie dowg” like the back of my paw, especially when I’m positive there’s food waiting for me at the other end of the trick. I know “shake” and “stay.” I know how to lie down for my meals and wait until I’m told. I’ve been interested in learning the names of different places and toys. I’m smart!

Crate Trained:  Yes

Potty Trained:  Yes

Activity Level:  Medium. I like to keep busy, but I’m not built for long runs in hot weather.

Fun things I do:

I’m really interested in what people are doing, and I like to offer my help however I can. If you have favorite things you like to do, you can bet I’ll show you that I want to participate somehow. But I also can find favorite places where I like to lie down and watch the world, if you need less help sometimes.

Socialization/who I currently live with:  I live with adults, but I’ve had sleepaway time with kids, and people say I’m good at it.

Interesting things about me: I am a gorgeous girl.  I love people, and going on adventures.  I’m great at car rides. I make a lot of hilarious grumbling noises.

What am I looking for: If you’re affectionate to dogs and like to play with them, that’s great, because that’s how I feel about humans! I like to be near them all the time. I do have seasonal allergies, so I want to be with someone who is aware when I’m uncomfortable and ready with the antihistamines if I need them. If you’re ready to love someone back who needs a little patience around other dogs, but is sweet, sturdy, and loving, then I’m ready for my forever home with you!

About A Rotta Love Plus

About Our Rescue Group...

A Rotta Love Plus is dedicated to the Rottweiler, APBT, AmStaff, and other non-traditional breeds. We are the oldest Rottweiler rescue in the state of Minnesota and the first non-profit Rottweiler Rescue in the state. (A Rotta Love and PitsPlus have merged as one!)

Rescue - We are here to rescue the unwanted and neglected Rottweilers and other non-traditional breeds that are surrendered to local animal shelters.
Re-Home - With the help of foster homes we evaluate and prepare the dogs to be re-homed with a loving family.
Educate - For those willing, we are here to educate on responsible ownership of these great breeds and what owning a dog (or dogs) is all about.

The Rottweiler, APBT, and many others have fallen victim to bad press and prejudice. A Rotta Love is THEIR VOICE. We are here to defend and protect these wonderful breeds.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog adopted from A Rotta Love Plus goes to its new home spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We also provide a collar, leash and their favorite toy. We request a $300 donation for each dog to help us cover these costs and to assist us in rehoming other dogs.

If you are interested in one of the dogs you see here the first step is to fill out our online application which is available on our website or to give us a call.

If you don't see a dog here that fits your particular needs please give us a call anyway. We frequently have dogs on a waiting list or in other shelters. Let's us know what you are looking for and we can usually help you find the perfect dog for your situation. If you are looking to work with people that KNOW these breeds you've come to the right place. We've trained and competed with the Rottweiler for many years and placed over 300 dogs since 1997.
