Are you looking for a compact dog with a big attitude?  Then, you are looking for me!  Well, here I am and my name is Clemence.  At four years old,  I find myself in need of a home because my human had to be hospitalized and can no longer care for me.  Did you know that the spunky Jack Russell Terrier’s roots are in hunting?  I live to work – well, mostly play – because I so enjoy a good run or a good chase.  I’m on the lookout for a family who are searching for a dog with no shortage of energy – one that will always try to include me in all of their outdoor fun.  If you know JRT’s, you understand that I am not a fan of animals that meow, squeak, or flutter.  In fact, I would need to be your one and only dog as my bossy attitude is not a hit with the other canines.  Don’t worry, I alone can fill your days with joy and laughter.  In fact, I could win a blue ribbon for my cuddling technique.  Being highly intelligence means that I would do exceptionally well at obedience training (especially if you hold a treat in front of my face).  Investing in my education will only make us even more compatible.   If you have always wanted to try your hand at agility, you won’t find a dog more eager to please than me.  Won’t you let me be the centre of your universe?  Please fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Clemence.

About Animatch

About Our Rescue Group...

Animatch is a non-profit, registered charitable organization that offers canine adoption services. We are proud members of the CAACQ (Companion Animal Adoption Group of Quebec). Animatch was founded by Helen Lacroix in 1999. Her grassroots movement started around her kitchen table. Today, Animatch boasts a well organized Centre, manned by Volunteers, with Helen as the Leader. All dogs are housed together at our centre where they are socialized with humans, dogs, and our resident cat.

Animatch needs financial support to provide the basics (sterilization, vaccinations, medication, food) as well as the extras (harnesses, leashes, halties, toys). In addition, we need an emergency fund to cover unforeseen medical treatments (i.e. orthopedic surgery, amputation, kidney stones). Donations are always greatly appreciated.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dogs are seen at the Animatch Centre by appointment only (see Adoption Process). Meet & Greets (adoption clinics) are held at various locations (check our website) most Saturdays with 2-3 dogs present. This gives potential adopters a chance to discuss their concerns with volunteers and fill in an Adoption Form.z

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in the adoption process would be to complete the Adoption Form -- either on-line at http://animatch.ca or at a Meet & Greet (see dates and locations on our website). When a potential match is found, an appointment will be scheduled for you to come to our Centre to meet the dog. Our adoption fee is $350.00 which includes vet exam, sterilization, vaccination, de-worming, an anti-flea treatment and microchip. All adopters are required to sign an Adoption Contract. Follow-ups are done after the adoption to ensure that the match is a success.
