I am in a foster home with dogs and kids! How lucky am I? I just love then all! I meet everyone with tail wags and licks!
I do ok with cats. They should have experience scaring off dogs because I am very curious about them!
I am crate trained but wouldn't mind sleeping in your bed! I am also housetrained. I am not a fan of rain so you have to encourage me to go!
I love going on walks and stretching my legs. The smells outside are soooo yummy!
If you would like to know more about me please fill out an application and set up a meet in greet. It will be the best decision of your life, I promise!
If you are interested in adopting Patton, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Patton 's adoption fee is $325.00 All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Patton will go to his new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
