Ummm whirlwind, tornado, play play play. Millie tugs, she retrieves, she leaps, she digs. She spilled a trough of water in the house and rolled in it. She is a delightful ball of energy that some performance person needs to scoop up and mold. I can guarantee she will do just about anything! 8 mos old and ready for training. VERY food and toy motivated. I have had her all of two full days. Yep she needs a performance home. She does get along with other dogs, but you'd better have high energy dogs to match her. This dog is ready, willing and able to do disc, agility, dock and obedience PLUS flyball. She can do it ALL!!! She is so open to learning, I have taught her sit in three tries. She tries to figure things out on her own also, like how to get the water pitcher down from the counter because she is thirsty. Millie is NOT a dog for the faint of heart. She is not going to be ok sitting around in a yard with occasional ball. Nope nope nope. She has a very even temperament, curious, responsive to correction but undaunted. Fearless and curious, all the things a performance dog needs. She is a clean slate and ready to learn.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
