Kush is a 4 yr old male husky that came from a shelter in East TN. He doesn't yet know any commands (huskies are stubborn and take some time to train especially when they are a bit older) and we are working on that but is crate trained and about 75% potty trained. When he first came to us he didn't seem all that interested in human attention but he has gotten much better since being neutered and now loves to play and get belly rubs. His favorite thing to do is go camping and take long walks/nature hikes and will wait patiently while you put a harness on. He has been on several camping trips and has no problem riding in the car (longest trip so far has been 9+hrs) and does wonderful around people and other dogs. Like most all huskies he does have a very high prey drive and you do have to pay attention when walking him or he will chase after small animals (squirrel/rabbit/etc) and is strong enough to pull you with him. He would do great in a home with a strong experienced leader and other dogs but he does not do well around cats. When he came in he was quite underweight but he has slowly been bulking up and loves to eat.

**OpEd does not adopt out outdoor pets. All adopters are required to complete a basic training course with their new family member. If adopted in the Murfreesboro, TN area, his training can be completed through Wag It Better at no cost to the adopters.

About Operation Education

About Our Rescue Group...

Operation Education is a educational organization and an all breed dog rescue located in Middle Tennessee. Our goal is to help end the needless killing of 4 million+ companion animals each year through education.

Our Adoption Process...

Operation Education requires a PHYSICAL fence for off leash playtime. All animals in the home must be up to date on vaccines, on a heartworm preventive and spayed or neutered. We will conduct a home visit and a vet check to ensure all these qualifications are met.
