Sweet 2 yr old Bambi is in need of a new home. She weighs 52lbs. Here is her story from her owner: "Bambi is the sweetest dog and we absolutely love her. But our other dog, a puggle, well, not so much. Bambi and Scrappy have very serious issues getting along, and things have only escalated. I adopted/rescued Bambi Memorial Day weekend (2016), mainly so Scrappy would have a friend since our other dog died of cancer last November. But Scrappy has absolutely rejected her and he's creating a bad situation. We've been in contact with a trainer/behaviorist, but he said we have a 50% chance at best (and that's optimistic) that Scrappy will eventually take to her. We have to keep them separated at all times for safety reasons.Bambi is playful, a cuddler, and easy to walk on a leash. She's housebroken and doesn't chew on anything that's not hers. She taught herself to use the dog door immediately. She's a smart pup! She loves all people of all ages and she likes other dogs. When she's excited to see you, her entire body wiggles and she has a huge smile. She likes to lie in the sun. She loves stuffed animals - but does tear the stuffing out. Bambi is patient - she has even sat and allowed my daughter to paint her toenails. She's great in a car - she just sits and looks around and she loves being in my car with the top down. Bambi likes hugs and enjoys when you rub your face against hers. The one thing Bambi isn't thrilled about is being separated from you by a barrier - she may whine or cry. But if I tell her to go lie down, for the most part she will.Bambi has megaesophagus. We've had her tested for everything, and have discovered it's just idiopathic. My friend built a chair for her. So I feed her handmade meatballs while she sits in the chair (one of the attached pictures). The recipe I'm using for her food (I make a week's worth at a time) is raw ground beef, cooked rice, hard boiled eggs, high performance dry dog food, canned dog food and cream cheese. I puree that mixture. And once a day I give her 1/2 tsp of GNC's Mega Calorie booster for puppies. This may sound like a lot of work, but actually, now it's just routine and pretty easy. I use all generic ingredients so expenses aren't bad. Bambi climbs into her chair herself."
