Max's Story...
Hi, I'm Maxwell - you can call me Max for short. I was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter in rural Georgia. I am so glad to have my second chance at life and find my forever family!

I'm just about a year old and weigh 45 pounds. I know basic commands and am fully house trained - I ready for my new family. I love to go on walks and take car rides. I am really good with the kids in my foster home as well as cats and other dogs. I am very calm and quiet indoors and love to snuggle, but please make sure I get enough play time! I am a young dog that loves to play.

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on Barktown Dog Rescue and Sanctuary's website:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Roswell Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Roswell, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
