Hello wonderful peoples of the world!!! My name in Phoebe, and I am going to tell you why you should adopt me!!!

Well, like I said my name is Phoebe, I was originally surrendered to this place, I am not sure what you call it but it was loud and scary and definitely no place for a princess like me! Can you believe that someone would put this beautiful face in a place like that!?  Well anyways, pretty soon this nice lady came and took me away and said I was on to live the good life! And that’s what I am doin, livin the good life!

In my foster home I live with another dog.  While I like my doggy companion, well I would prefer it if my new home didn’t have any other dogs.  Ya see, a princess like me deserves to be any only dog and spoiled with all the love and affection!!!   But people, well let me tell you something, I just LOVE people! Foster mom says that I am so wiggly when I meet them, it’s like I am going to take off in the air.  I would do best in a home with older kids though, I just get excited and don’t want to knock anyone over.  Foster mom says I am a pretty easy going lady, I like to go for walks and hikes, but a girl doesn’t get this beautiful from all that exercise! It takes a proper amount of rest and relaxation! Also, with relaxation comes snuggles, and man do I love snuggles!!!!!

I am working in my basic manners, I guess that’s what ya call them.  I know sit, down and to sit nicely when greeting new people (that one is so hard!).  I am working on my recall, walking on a leash and wait-those are the hardest ones!  But ya see, I don’t learn all these things like normal dogs, I learn using hand signals, ya know why!? Because I am deaf! That’s right I can’t hear so that makes me extra special!

I am also crate trained, I am not a fan of my crate, but I am a good girl when I am in it! I go in my crate when my foster mom is at work, and when everyone in the house is sleeping! I am also good about letting mom know when I have to go outside.

I guess no one is perfect, well I think I am perfect but mom says that no one is…..whatever! Any ways mom says my one bad habit is I get a little excited when I see dogs and small things when I am outside, sometimes I bark and get crazy.  Hey, what can I say, I like to make my presence known! So foster mom says it would be best if my new home wasn’t in a big city!

Well that’s pretty much all about me, if you think that you and I may be the perfect match, then send in your application to my mom.  Her and I will review it and make sure that we are truly a match made in heaven!

Now a word from my foster mom: Phoebe is about 35 pounds, 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on flea/tick and heartworm medication as well as up to date on vaccines.

About Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
