Misty is a beautiful 2 year old catahoula. She's had a roller coaster life. Her original owner was a young girl who left to go to college and left Misty with her boyfriend who was abusive and starved her. Her current owner got her when she was 9 months old and Misty found love again. She is now healthy, spayed, current on shots and house-trained. Misty isn't fond of storms and loud noise like gunshots but who is. :-) She loves to be inside with her family but is ok in a fenced in yard as well. She loves other dogs and plays well with them. Misty is very smart and really tries to listen and please her owner. She's a big healthy girl at 65 pounds. Come meet this gorgeous young girl!
Keely was my 14-year-old pitbull that crossed Rainbow Ridge a few years ago. She was the most mishievous, rambunctious girl you can imagine and she was my girl. She was the kind of dog that many would have given up on. She was an escape artist and I spent many days and nights searching for her once even finding out that she had snuck in through a neighbor's cat door and walked upstairs to his bedroom, jumped on his bed and woke him up with a lick in the face at 3am in the morning. On one of our daily runs I had to swim into a cow pond to save a cow that she had decided to grab by the ear while the cow was taking a dip. She decided my neighbor's pet llama was a little too close to me one day and decided to grab her around the throat....llama was fine. So many fun stories...smile emoticon I often wondered if Keely had not found me and ended up in animal control....would she have made it out? Most pits don't....over 750,000 euthanized yearly...90% of bully-type dogs that end up in animal control are PTS immediately. This led me to start a rescue group named after Keely. I mainly rescue medium to large breed dogs from animal control as we know those are the first ones to be euthanized. I also focus on catahoulas as those are often misunderstood and end up in animal control but I've worked with all breeds. Keely's Friends Dog Rescue has rescued and rehomed over 70 dogs at this point and I look forward to helping so many more. I dream of a world where we no longer have to euthanize any dog for overpopulation and every dog has a wonderful, loving home.

Fees vary ($75 to $600...most are in the $175 to $275 range) depending on dog and fees associated with the rescue of each dog.
