Description: Dori is mostly black with a splotch of white on her chest, with medium/short fur that is super-silky to the touch. She has beautiful brown eyes, and her right ear flops over while the left ear stands straight and tall!
Personality: Dori stayed in my house for a few days with two other dogs and two small children and she was a delight. She gets on with everyone. I saw no sign of aggression--food or otherwise. Dori is young, energetic, and lots of fun. She loves to go for walks and play outside. She really wants to be with the pack and will respond to being called. Very smart, Dori listens to instructions and wants to please. She is housetrained, and is quickly learning leash manners and other commands. Walking her on a leash is quite challenging, however, so an ideal situation would be one where she could go to the dog park or have a fenced-in yard where she can romp until her leash walking improves. She needs some work but she is worth it! I thought she would be a jumper, but she wasn't. That made it pleasant to have her in the home with kids and also to introduce her to new people. So sweet and affectionate, she likes to sit close while being snuggled. All activity on her part ceases whenever she gets some loving! We don't know Dori's background, but she seems to be just learning about the world around her, and everything is new and exciting!
Animal History: Dori came from a rural shelter and was rescued the morning she was to be euthanized.
