My name is Marty!

Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for adoption in Fairfax, Virginia - Marty

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Marty's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Marty's Story...
Your best pal has arrived and he's ready for your visit. Marty loves everyone. He's great with other dogs, all ages of people and with his sweet disposition may be good with lots of other critters, too. He just turned 1 yr. old and missed having a birthday with a forever family. However, if you meet him, fall in love and take him home soon he would still have time to celebrate during his birthday month of July.

At the present time he weighs 25 pounds so he will not be a large dog when full grown. He has a gorgeous black coat and super cute expressions. Marty is very anxious to meet you....and bringing a new toy for his birthday just might cement the deal for you both.

To see Marty, submit an online dog adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. After reviewing the application, staff will contact you—typically within two business days— to make an appointment to visit the farm where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marty, a Fairfax Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
