Facts about Floyd

  • Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Floyd is a big hunk, and everybody falls in love with him! He is a 1yr old Am. Staff/Mastiff mix best guess. He is a very large boy, but a mush. Floyd was original owned by people that kept him locked up in a crate most of the time, and they never bothered to train him or do anything with him. When they moved, Floyd was left behind, but kind family members brought him to us. Due to not being trained from puppyhood, Floyd is going to need some basic training and leash manners. He has shown zero aggression with us, he is just a big goofball that doesn't know his size! He seems to be fine with other dogs, although he may be a bit much for small dogs and cats (he will chase them.) He has been fine around children, but will likely do best with sturdy kids that aren't easily knocked over. If you like big goofy dogs, Floyd may just be the one for you!

About Common Sense For Animals

About Our Shelter...

CSA was founded in 1990 by Veterinarian, Robert R Blease, DVM to provide an organization where all persons and groups can logically and intellectually discuss all issues affecting animal welfare. CSA has a "common sense" philosophy regarding food animals, wildlife, research and companion pets. We operate a No-kill Shelter and believe education and community service are our most valuable assets.
