Zorro (FENCE REQUIRED!)'s Story...
Zorro (FENCE REQUIRED!)'s Story...
Zorro is a timid little boy that is going to need lots of time, patience and love from his new family. He has, however, shown significant progress in the time he has been at our home. He loves to give kisses, likes to play and loves belly rubs! Once he trusts a person, he doesn’t let you get far without him trailing closely behind. Zorro does need to go to a home where there is another small dog(s) as they help him with confidence and trust and make him come out of his shell more. We don’t anticipate that there would be any issues with cats but we do suggest that children be over the age of 10 since he is so skittish. Zorro is house trained but doesn’t seem to like being kenneled so much. We have been gating him in our kitchen while we’re gone and he does just fine. Zorro will need a fenced in yard, as he does not like being on a leash at all at this point and he can jump over baby gates. Zorro is a sweet boy with tons of personality and tons of love to give, he just needs to find the perfect family that will give him the patience and love he needs to trust again. All adoptions are $200 per dog which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $100 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

About Our Rescue Group...
Forever Home Dog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals primarily from high-kill shelters.
In working with committed volunteers, temporary care homes and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue dogs, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. All our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and have all necessary veterinary care.
We were formed in January 2014 and are a non-profit organization in central Iowa. We are pending our official 501c3 status. We receive no government funding and rely completely on donations.
