Titus's Story...
My name is Titus and I just turned 1 year old, Happy Birthday to me. I'm a Mountain Cur and for all of you that don't know what that is I'm a Hunting Dog, AS IF. Well folks I can tell you I'm no Hunting Dog. My owner said that I "Didn't hold up my end of the bargain" so my fate was sealed, I was to be shot. Thankfully cool reason prevailed and the ladies at Mercy were contacted. That is how I came to be Safe in the Arms of Mercy, but now it is time for me to have my own forever home.
Let me tell you a little bit about me, I might add my favorite subject to discuss. First off I'm a handsome fellow all sleek and lanky. I'm sweet and loving with just a touch of shy. I'm playful and fun-loving so I need lots of activity to keep me from being bored, trust me no one wants to be bored. I went and spent 8 weeks at the prison in the "New Leash on Life" program leaning all my basic commands. My foster mom is now teaching me how to ride in the car and boy I was not comfortable with that, made my knees tremble. I'm also learning to go places like Petsmart and be around lots of people, again it made my knees tremble. I am however deciding that both riding in the car and meeting lots of new people really isn't so bad. My foster mom says that I'm now ready for my forever home so please come and adopt me.

Titus, a Marion Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Marion, or seeking a Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Marion.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
