My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is a fun puppy! Whitney came to us as an owner turn in from someone who could no longer keep her. She is extremely playful, friendly and loves everyone. She gets along and plays well with all the animals here and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Whitney does well in a fenced yard for interactive play time but of course prefers to be with people. At approximately 3.5 months old, Whitney weighs 18 pounds. She enjoys toys, walks well on a leash, is crate trained and eager to learn new things. Fully vetted now, Whitney is ready for her new home. She is looking for an inside forever home who understands the time and financial commitment that a puppy (or any animal) takes. She would do well being enrolled in a basic 6 weeks obedience course to get her started on the right path. If you think Whitney may be the perfect pup for you, contact info.caresga@gmail.com or you may download our adoption application from our website www.caresga.org. We DO adopt up north and all over so just ask us for details. A vet reference is required for all adoptions to ensure a great home (this means you must have a history of owning a pet so their level of care can be verified).

Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip is included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
