Hi there, I'm Benny. I came to the shelter with my pals Sonny and Tommy. They can be a bit timid but not me- I love being petted and getting attention. I should let you know that I am FIV+ which is an immunodeficiency virus in cats. Don't let that scare you though- many kitties who are FIV+ can live very long healthy lives well into their teens and even 20's! Also, since the virus isn't airborne or spread through litter boxes or the sharing of food and water bowls, it is safe for us to be around other kitties. The virus is most commonly spread from moms to babies and through deep bite wounds and is not contagious to dogs or humans. I'm hoping to find a nice, loving forever home to spend my days lounging in a sunny window watching the critters outside, or snuggling up on the couch with you on a cold winter day.
