Petra is young (born January 2016), sweet, good-natured Girl who is eager to learn. She loves to be petted and held after she has played. She enjoys being around people and other dogs. Petra is happy and energetic - she plays with her Foster’s two male Pitties that weigh 70 pounds each without fear, just as though she were their size. She is also content playing by herself.
Petra has a high energy level. She will run and play until she gives out. Therefore, she will require a family with a fairly active lifestyle who can ensure she gets 1 - 2 hours of exercise a day. She is very playful on and off leash; she engages in more high-energy play when she is off leash.
Petra is pretty good on lead - she pulls some, but responds to voice or leash correction. She has not been cat-tested, so her ability to peacefully coexist with a cat is unknown at this point. But, if you are potentially interested in Petra, send us a message, or submit an adoption application on our Web site at www.barktowndogrescue.org, and we can schedule a meet and greet at your convenience to see how she will fit in with your family and their lifestyle!
