If there is a story that will melt your heart, it will be Rizal's. Rizal is a STUNNING Blue Pit Bull Terrier who has spent the last year of his life sitting in an outside kennel at the shelter with no interest from passersby.  And yet?  He remains a loving, sweet, friendly guy. He is now out of time and about to walk the 'Green Mile' unless someone will find it in their hearts to welcome him into their home.

Rizal is a 'pocket pittie' who is long, lean and younger.  In spite of spending the past 13 months 'behind bars', he has not given up hope that there is someone special out there just for him.  This outstanding dog is curious about the around him and listens well to his handler as he experiences what life would be like outside of the shelter.  He aims to please and is non-reactive to both other big dogs and to the little dogs he's met.  He's fantastic!

Rizal is well behaved, not a barker, and playful.  While he has not received much of anything in his short life, thus far, he is appreciative and content for whatever kindness is thrown his way.  He will be available for one more week and if he does not get in a foster home or adopted, he will be killed for space at the shelter. This is a courtesy listing of desperate proportions to find this fantastic, gorgeous, deserving boy a furever home of his very own.  Can you find it in your heart to save him?

***Rizal is urgent as his time has all but run out.  He needs an adopter or at least a shelter foster immediately to save his life.  What a shame, if after 13 months waiting, he is euthanized for space.***

This is one extra special boy who will be the light of a lucky family's life. Please help us help Rizal find his furever family before it's too late.

About Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiny Loving Canines operates Ventura County's first and only full-time Rescue Center, open to the public 7 days/week in Simi Valley, CA.

We have the vision of a No-Kill generation, and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the abandoned and neglected animals in our community. Our rescue acts as a needs-based safety net, allowing dogs maximum exposure for adoption at the county shelters, and saving their lives when they run out of time. We will do whatever it takes, within our means, to save a dogs life (unless it is illegal or immoral). TLC is proud to partner with Ventura County Animal Services in the march toward No-Kill in Ventura County!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Rescue Shop is located at 1736 Erringer on the 2nd Floor in Simi Valley, CA. We are open 7 days/week to showcase the dogs in our care. You can come visit our dogs and puppies Monday-Saturday from 12-7pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog and puppy that is adopted from TLC is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Adoptions also include a complementary wellness exam at Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital and a coupon book to use at Theresa's.

If you are interested in adopting one of our furbabies, the very first step is to complete an adoption application; this can be done either in person at our Rescue Center or online from the dog's profile. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
