Gambit's Story...
Hello everyone! My name is Gambit and I am a fun loving very energetic 2 year old Golden Retriever mix. My family had to give me up - they felt I needed a better life so they called AGK to help me find a new home. I can jump about 100000 feet in the air! Let's see, what else can I do? I can run like the wind. I am quite curious about cats but I get along well with other dogs. I am healthy and love human attention. I do NOT like being at the vet - that freaks me out. But they did say I was quite healthy. Oh and since I am an agile boy, I really need a fence and very active family. And hey - maybe I could be a good agility dog? Love, Gambit

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gambit, a Knoxville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
