Roxy's Story...
Roxy (AKA EVA) had a home but could not adjust to the new baby in home. We believe she may have been jealous as she had some accidents. Roxy is house trained and we don't think this will be a problem in her new home. She is quite intelligent and knows how to sit, lie down, roll over and crawl. Roxy is friendly with other dogs and cats and fine with children. It was just the new baby that she didn't quite understand; however she was never mean in any way. We think she will make a nice family dog and we hope she finds a new home quickly. Shelter living is difficult for dogs that previously had a home. Roxy is a three year old Pit Bull Boxer mix. Roxy was returned to the shelter because her owner said he and his wife want to start traveling and they didn't want to pay to board Roxy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Somerset Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Somerset, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Somerset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somerset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somerset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somerset paves the way for another one to be saved.
