Finn's Story...
Finn is an orange tabby born in April 2016. He came to us with Sundae and is the more sensitive and quieter one of the two. He loves chasing the string and the laser pointer. When he’s not playing or wrestling with Sundae, he loves pets and cuddles. He would do well in a home where he has a quiet space to himself and a forever person for snuggles and playtime. He would love to go with Sundae to his forever home, but is very friendly and would do well with another cat or dog for company. If adopted separate from Sundae, he has to go to a home that has a cat or dog that will take him on as a friend.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
