Meet Red Lady; a lovely, 8 year old, Dachshund mix girl weighing 30 pounds and is just a greying dear, dear girl.   All Red Lady wants is to find love and acceptance in her senior years.  Her story is that she came from a situation where her owner left her, along with other dogs, in their abandoned house that was also inhabited by many Copperhead snakes.  Red Lady has a heart murmur and is on some very inexpensive meds daily to prevent it from progressing unnecessarily.  So maybe she is not your next senior beauty queen, but she will steal your heart with her beautiful temperament and soul that exudes a hunger for love and kindness.  She is good around other dogs, cats and kids.  She is leashed trained, housetrained and crate trained.  She is just waiting for a real forever home; a place of unconditional love with someone who will let her snuggle under the covers for the rest of her life.  Someone with an unconditional heart to love her despite her imperfections.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

About Critter Companion Rescue- Richmond VA

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
