O'RICKY IN WA's Story...

O'Ricky is a wonderful guest in our home. He is polite to our dogs, likes us very much, warns us if any outside human is around, started using his crate to sleep, and sleep he does all through the night. We're working on potty manners, and Ricky is getting used to his belly band as he learns to make himself feel at home another way. His ears are at half mast and looking very sad at me at the present time, so he knows things need to improve! He's a quick study and used a doggy door for a few days and did wonderful. He is a very smart, lovable boy, and loves to 'talk' about everything. O'Ricky will be a great addition to your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

O'RICKY IN WA, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
