My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cider is one of a litter of 11 puppies. His mama is a Border Collie who was picked up as a stray, brought into rescue and then delivered the puppies just 1 week after her rescue. The mama was in very poor condition when she was rescued, but she was an amazing mama who took VERY good care of her babies and now both mom and babies are doing wonderful! Cider has been hand raised and handled since birth and he is truly in love with being with people and is comfortable being handled, including having his ears and paws played with, he does however squawk when clipping his nails – often before you even clip them! He is quite a dramatic faker when its nail trim time! Cider is praise and food motivated so it makes training super easy. He really loves toys, ropes, balls and playing outside. Cider is also very happy to sit at his humans’ feet under the desk during the day and is a little shadow. He sincerely wants to just be with his family and he will be your best friend! Cider is crate trained and goes right into the crate on command- He is such a good boy! Cider is our snugglebug. He loves to lay next to you with a paw or two or 4 on you but mostly he thinks he's a lap puppy! He nestles his face into your neck and just loves to be close. He adores being petted and belly rubs are his favorite. He does great walking on a leash and has a lot of concern to stay right at my side. He is very smart and really wants to please his people. He is very food motivated, knows how to sit on command and if I have a treat box so much as in my hand he will sit his little butt down and wait patiently. He is also almost potty trained and is learning to ring a bell that hangs on the back door to alert us of his needs! Cider also loves other dogs once he gets to know them. He engages in play and just has a sweet fun personality. Cider has had his 3rd set of shots and rabies vaccine this week. He has already been microchipped, is on heart worm preventative already, has negative fecal testing. Cider is ready for his own family that he can serve his purpose as man’s best friend.
