Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bubba has had a rough life for the last 7 years. This beautiful boy had a chronic problem (as many beagles do) with ear infections and never was correctly treated. When he came to HBHR the yeast infection had spread to his entire body. It took a couple months and the hard work of a couple of our volunteers, but Bubba is no longer a miserable mess! He really enjoys his belly rubs because of the special oil that has helped soften his rough, bleeding skin!
His house manners are great. He uses the dog door without a problem, never chews on anything that does not belong to him and only knocks over the trash can to remind you that he is a beagle after all! He gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playing with dogs or humans. Even the grouchy old Corgi actually likes him!
Bubba is a good walker on a leash and does well in a car. As his foster Dad says, Bubba has been road tested with kids and passed with flying colors. He will bark at squirrels in the yard, but in not very loud and only gets really vocal when it is time to eat!
Bubba does like to be close to you, so will make a great companion for someone who is retired or works from home. He does like to sneak under the covers on your bed to sleep at night, but is always the first one up in the morning. If you are an early riser and would like a foot warmer in bed with you, then Bubba is your boy! This sweet boy deserves to be showered with love and care for the rest of his life.
