Raising a kitten requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Mercy will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training and affection he deserves.

Health: Mercy has been neutered and microchipped. He is current on his vaccines and tested negative for Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).  He has been wormed and flea treated.

History: Mercy comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs and cats PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state.

Notes from Mercy's Foster Home: Mercy is a quiet fellow with a loud purr....which is turned on most of the time.  Mercy seems more mature and not as playful as some, but a very happy, content guy who loves to lay on soft blankets, bask in the sun and have lots of scratches and rubs.  Mercy has a great attitude and much affection for humans!!  A sweet, gentle guy!!

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the cat's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.

Adoption: If you think you have room in your home and heart for this cat and you reside within Washington State, please go to our Adoption Information page. There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application.

About People United for Pets (PUP)

About Our Rescue Group...

People United for Pets (PUP) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization specializing in small and toy breed dog rescue. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small purebred or mixed breed dogs, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and nationally.

PUP was established in May, 2006 and since that time has placed an ever increasing number of dogs into their forever homes!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have no central facility. Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.
