Maggie's Story...
Maggie is such a gentle girl. She is about 6 years old and is a Cocker Spaniel/King Charles Spaniel mix. She is shy and timid and takes some time to warm up in new situations. Maggie used to live with other dogs and cats and did great with them. Sharing her forever home with another dog may even help with her confidence! Maggie just came to the shelter so we are still learning about her. We know that she loves to be in your arms and will snuggle as long as you will let her. She also loves to be cuddled in blankets. She is truly a sweetheart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Michigan City Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
