Everybody, meet Grandpa! He's an 8-year-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix who was picked up as stray in terrible shape. He was covered in mats, burrs and foxtails and was barely recognizable as a dog. Now, he's all cleaned up, looking dapper and ready to start his new life! Grandpa is a sweet gentleman who is a little shy but warms up quickly. Within 24 hours of being with a family through the shelter's foster network, he started to open up and play with their dog. We know he's on the road to being such a happy boy and we're glad to help him find his forever family. He's a low-key boy who seems to get along well with everybody he meets and may even do well with a dog-savvy kitty in her family. He's still getting the hang of house-training, but he's a smart guy and we're sure he'll get it with a good routine in place. Grandpa has a grade one heart murmur. He came to us from South Monterey County Animal Rescue.
