Dylan's Story...
Five year old Dylan was rescued from Savannah, GA, and is a true Southern gentleman. While his shelter paperwork stated 5, this boy acts way younger! He’s a very gregarious, friendly boy, and loves all people, including children. He actually gravitates to children! He greets everyone that comes in the house with a big wet Rottie kiss. Dylan is fully housetrained and will alert you (by barking and dancing at the back door) when he’s ready to go outside. Dylan does very well with other dogs. He is leash trained and enjoys long walks (2-plus miles) with his Rottie sisters. Dylan is not fond of squirrels, and cats are a definite no-no. Dylan would love a family that is active and enjoys the outdoors. The perfect human sibling(s) for him would be 7-plus years old and the perfect canine sibling(s) for him would be of like size and stature due to his energy. If you'd like to be considered for Dylan, contact for an application is Beth at kaya1227@comcast.net Dylan is fostered in Georgia. We are willing to bring him to the greater Phila. area for adoption to an approved applicant

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dylan, a Frederick Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
