Special home requirements or medical: none.
This sweet girl was dumped at the shelter with another dog which we also have, Zuly, because the family didn't want them anymore. She has been abused and she needs a gentle, experienced person in a quiet, child-free home with a predictable routine to help her gain in confidence. She reverts to being shy when she is introduced to a new room in the home but when she figures out the layout and feels safe she settles down. Right now, she will cower, shake, submissive pee and even snap if she thinks you might hurt her. It doesn't take long to earn her trust and then she morphs into a loving, snuggly lapdog. She feels more comfortable around other dogs and gets along well them although she'll sometimes have difficulty reading their cues. Fifi will thrive in a quiet (she hates shouting and loud noises) environment where she can take her time exploring and feel safe. She is pee pad trained. She has some separation anxiety and may be destructive if not crated when left alone. She does not like being separated from her person. As long as she can see you, she will stay quietly in her crate and sleep through the night. This is a very special girl who will blossom in the right supportive and understanding environment.
