Gidget's Story...
This little girl is Giget. She is a minpin/chi mix about six years old. Our girl is fully vetted including micro chip. Giget came from a high kill shelter here in Ohio. I think she was someone's beloved companion at one time, but uncertain how she ended up as a stray.
Gig gets along with dogs, not bothered by cats, enjoys car rides, sitting in your lap, house trained very well, and watching the telly with you. We have discovered the only thing she does not like is when she is her crate do not pull her out. Some people pull them out with the collar or leg. If you just let Gig come out on her own she is a happy girl. When she becomes comfortable with you, she will let you pick her up, but she has to know that you will be gentle.
Gig enjoys belly rubs almost better than treats, and speaking of treats she takes them very gently.
I think she would do well in a home with older children as toddlers might be too much for her. If you think you and your family could give her a loving home and make her a part of your family she would be so happy. Gidget is waiting ..
Gidget's adoption fee is $200.00
We require our dogs to be kept on Heartworm prevention and vaccinated in accordance with your veterinarian's protocol.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Holland Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Holland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Holland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Holland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Holland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Holland paves the way for another one to be saved.
