Angel's Story...

Angel is a 2-year old Beagle that has lots of character, but also needs a patient and understanding adopter.  She and her three babies had to be trapped to save them from being hit on the road, so she can be shy and skittish when first meeting and it may take a week until she is ready to accept treats or love from new people.  She is heartworm positive and completed her treatment on December 1st, she is scheduled to be retested on February 1st but is ready for adoption today, we will pay for the second testing.  She is crate trained and potty trained, she finds the crate a safe place for herself.

Angel's adoption fee is $200.00 which includes all shots, heartworm treatment, spay/neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the   Adoption Application  on our website at  www.a4apetpantry.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a Hillsboro Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
